"When we lived in the Pacific Northwest we would go to a tree farm and cut our own tree. We live in the Gulf Coast of Texas and pine or cypressare the only options from local tree farms. I missed the beautiful fir trees and I started buying fresh trees from a family tree farm in Oregon 10 years ago. The tree would arrive four weeks before Christmas and the needles were still holding when we took the tree down after New Years. When the Oregon farm stopped selling retail, I tried different online retailers and tried buying an expensive tree from a local nursery. The fir trees bought through local retail outlets can't compete with the fresh trees we have enjoyed with trees purchased shipped directly from a northern tree farm, but the prices have continued to rise with shipping costs equally the cost of the tree. This was our first year to purchase from Christmas Trees in the Mail and it is one of the best experiences. The tree arrived as promised and it is a lovely full and fresh tree, taking a good gallon + water daily for the first week. The price was reasonable and the tree was true to the 7ft ordered. In the past we received trees from other retailers that barely reached 7ft laid out and stretching the top branch needles. Considering the high shipping costs and my experience with other online vendors, it appears Christmas Trees in the Mail is offering shipping without padding the shipping to increase their profit as was the case with other retailers. We will order again next year."
