Premium Douglas: Loved for its fullness, and perfectly symmetrical bushy shape. Sweet, citrusy scent. Lighter branches than Noble/ Fraser, but can hold plenty of medium sized ornaments with ease. Similar life cycle to balsam fir, slightly better needle retention. Very soft needles.

Excellent tree delivered the next day! Will order again next year!
I typically purchase a Balsam Fir and decided to try the Douglas this year and will not purchase again. While the tree looks beautiful from a distance, the fallout from the branches is a lot, bald branches after 5 days and the branches are so thin most ornaments drag the tree branch down. Back to Balsam next year.

I am very sorry to hear this. Can you kindly email me a photo when you get a chance for my records. The douglas does not have the same branch strength as balsam and I dont reccomend for the heavier ornaments. I write this in listing descriptions I apologize if you did not see this. It should not have bald branches however, id like to see what is going on. I will also offer you some type of store credit for the dissaplointment that can be used for anpother species. Very sorry about this.
Although I’ve always ordered a Frasier or a Balsam I wanted to try the new offering of Douglas and it’s the most perfect 6ft tree. Pleasantly narrow and symmetrical so it doesn’t take too much room in its dedicated spot. The soft branches were a bit of challenge with heavier ornaments but I managed. I think next year it will be a repeat if offered.
